Probing the high-redshift Universe

Abstract: Near-future astronomical facilities will dramatically advance our ability to probe the Universe between the end of the dark ages and the onset of cosmic acceleration. I will provide some motivations for exploring this epoch, then discuss some of the opportunities and challenges attending such investigations.
