Abstract: The Sun was probably formed in a cluster of a few thousand stars. Some of the consequences of this birth environment may still be present today, and recognizable as such. Among these phenomena are passing stars, exotic objects objects inside the Solar System, curious asteroid abundances and the consequences of possible nearby supernovae.
