Abstract: Moores law now has worked to the point that we can simulate the nonlinear behaviour of stellar plasma with computers. Understanding the import and limitations of the results has proven challenging. The talk will describe a new physically motivated set of ideas which capture the heart of the simulations. A survey of progress will be presented, along with connections to observations. Opportunities to seamlessly include rotation and magnetic field effects in stellar evolution will be indicated. Implications for asteroseismology, x-ray astronomy, supernova remnants, stellar evolution, core collapse, supernova explosions and related topics will be examined.
