The Herschel ATLAS and the evolution of the galaxy main sequence

Abstract: The Herschel ATLAS is the largest open-time key project with Herschel, consisting of a survey in five far-infrared bands of 550 square degrees of the extragalactic sky. I will summarise the status of the survey and the recent science results. In particular, I will describe the results that imply the survey contains 10,000 lensed systems, opening the way for major cosmographic projects. I will also describe our recent results on the evolution of the galaxy main sequence that shows much of the evolution is driven by optically-red galaxies, which have traditionally been thought of as quenched galaxies.
