Galaxy kinematics in the cosmic web: insights from integral field spectroscopy

Abstract: In this talk, I will present a recent detection of galaxy spin alignments with cosmic filaments in the IFS survey SAMI and I will discuss it in the light of previous non-detections. I will discuss methods to extend the analysis of how galaxy properties correlate to the geometry of the cosmic web to other kinematic parameters such as v/sigma.
