DDO with its 1.88 m telescope is a stunning facility that helps communicate what astronomy seeks to achieve. It was also in the beginning the research focus of Department. To renew the memorial to David Dunlap we are actively working on founding the David Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (DDIAA). Bringing to fruition a world-class enterprise like the DDIAA on the St. George campus will be challenging but exhilarating. A continuing strong DA is a pre-requisite for this endeavour.
