PXFGETPWNAM (L*X, M*X)

POSIX Subroutine: Gets password information for a specified name.

Syntax

CALL PXFGETPWNAM (name, ilen, jpasswd, ierror)

name
(Input) Character. The login name of the user to retrieve information about. For example, a login name might be "jsmith", while the actual name is "John Smith".


ilen
(Input) INTEGER(4). The length of the name string.


jpasswd
(Input) INTEGER(4). A handle of structure compnam.


ierror
(Output) INTEGER(4). The error status.

If successful, ierror is set to zero; otherwise, an error code.

The PXFGETPWNAM subroutine stores the user information from /etc/passwd for the entry that matches the user name name  in the structure associated with handle jpasswd.

Note

To get a handle for an instance of the compnam structure, use PXFSTRUCTCREATE with the string 'compnam' for the structure name.
