ABSTRACT:Twenty-one centimeter aperture synthesis observations are presented of the continuum and H I line emission of a 2-degree field centered on the
H II region S142.
The present scene in the cluster/gas complex is
interpreted as having resulted from low-mass star formation which was terminated
by the formation of DH Cep (the exciting star) in a young open cluster, NGC
7380.
This star is now in the last stages of dispersing the progenitor cloud.
