ABSTRACT:Low-background IR detectors have a very long-term transient response which, in addition,is highly
dependent on the preceding irradiation. For these
reasons to determine with a high precision the
radiation flux of a cool space object, it has to be
measured for very long. The theory, presented in
this paper, describes the detector operation under
frequent flux changes and allows to determine
precisely the flux values from fast measurements, in
spite of the strong memory effects. The theory is
specialized for the ISOPHOT's Si:Ga array and is
confirmed by the experiments. Its use has to enhance
the productivity of the launched appartus.
