Outreach: Dr. Linda Strubbe leads the Nigeria Short Course in Astronomy
In October, 2013, CITA post-doctoral fellow Dr. Linda Strubbe led a team of three graduate students from the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics to teach a five-day short course in Astronomy. The course was the culmination of 10 months of intense preparation and more than a year of planning, and was attended by 75 astronomy and physics university students from Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal.
For video introductions to the course leaders, their work, and the beginnings of their own astronomy careers, see the attached videos. Watch this web site for more videos and photos from the School.
