Morgan Bennett receives the 2016 CITA Graduate Scholarship

Morgan completed a summer research position at CITA during the summer of 2015 and returned in 2016 to begin her PhD in astronomy and astrophysics. With a strong leaning towards theoretical astrophysics such as General Relativity and Cosmological simulations, CITA was the perfect fit for her. Morgan completed her first project as a PhD candidate with Ue-Li Pen working on the signals produced by the relative motion between galaxies and neutrinos in our Universe. After completing that, Morgan moved on to work on galactic dynamics problems, including simulating stellar stream and subhalo interactions. Her interest in Theoretical Astrophysics continues to grow along with her knowledge.
