I generally work on several topics in Theoretical Astrophysics.  In chronological order, I have worked on    

• r-mode instability in rapidly rotating neutron stars
• theory of type-I x-ray bursts
• star formation in AGN discs
• young massive stars near SgrA*, the supermassive black hole in our Galactic Center
• Mass Estimators
• precession of radio pulsars
  
• gravitational instabilities in massive protostellar discs
• Symplectic Integrators in extended phase space

For my PhD, I have worked  on the theory of thermal noise and on Quantum Nondemolition Measurements for LIGO.  My mentor was  Kip Thorne, and I have also learned a lot of Science from Vladimir Braginsky who was visiting Caltech annually.
