I generally work on several topics in Theoretical Astrophysics.
In chronological order, I have worked on
- r-mode instability in rapidly rotating neutron stars
- theory of type-I x-ray bursts
- star formation in AGN discs
- young massive stars near SgrA*, the supermassive black
hole in our Galactic Center
- Mass Estimators
- precession of radio pulsars
- gravitational instabilities in massive protostellar
discs
- Symplectic Integrators in extended phase space
For my PhD, I have worked on the theory of thermal
noise and on Quantum Nondemolition Measurements for LIGO. My
mentor was Kip Thorne, and I have also learned a lot of Science
from Vladimir Braginsky who was visiting Caltech annually. Some day I
will make special links for each of the topics above. For now, below
are the links for the general description of my research
and my CV+publications.
