Postdoctoral Fellow
Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics
I am a
postdoctoral fellow at the Canadian Institute for
Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto.
I study theoretical astrophysics and my work has frequently
focused on the study of accretion physics and radiative
transfer. My research has included topics such as accretion
flows, black holes, magnetars, radiative transfer, and
numerical simulations of magnetohydrodynamics.
Although I am a theorist,
much of my work has involved direct modeling of
observational data. Before arriving in Toronto, I was a postdoctoral member of the School of Natural Sciences and a Chandra Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study. I obtained my Ph.D. from the physics department at UCSB and a B.S. in physics from Carnegie Mellon.
