DA has recently collaborated with the Physics and Chemistry Departments in plans to link various services among the three departments in the context of a new Physical Sciences Complex. It will provide new laboratory space and (possibly larger) electronic lecture rooms with modern technology for computer-aided instruction. DA is excited about the possibilities inherent in the plan and is committed to pursuing opportunities for such collaboration. Plans include amalgamation of the libraries, to be carried out in a way that recognizes and enhances the national and historical importance of the specialized Astronomy Library resources (§ 5.3).
