2017 is the fifty-year anniversary of the discovery of the pulsar and Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI). In the past twenty years, VLBI has been used in pulsar observations to study pulsar scintillation and scattering due to density variations in the ionized interstellar medium (IISM). With VLBI, it is possible to characterize and in some cases image the scattered image of the pulsar.
