I am a Senior Research Associate at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. As a theoretical astrophysicist I spend most of my time thinking about (a) the implications of known physics for astronomical objects and, conversely, (b) ways in which to test physical theories using astronomical observations. I primarily do this by studying compact objects, though have also recently branched out into star formation.
