Motion of Primordial Universe Unveiled
|
New results from an instrument located high in the Chilean Andes are giving researchers a clearer view of what the universe looked like in the first moments following the Big Bang.
Cosmologists at CITA, along with fellow researchers from the United States and Chile, have just announced new results concerning the polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation. The scientists used data from the Cosmic Background Imager (CBI) to reveal the first movements between the ``seeds'' that ultimately gave rise to large clusters of galaxies.
