Peter Goldreich's honors include the Kuiper Prize of the Division for Planetary Science from the American Astronomical Society, the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society, and the National Medal of Science.

Peter Goldreich gave three lectures during his stay at CITA. The public lecture was on White Dwarf Star Oscillations, and Magnetohydrodynamics in the Interstellar Medium as well as two technical talks.
