Primordial Generation of Magnetic Fields

It is still unknown whether the Universe was magnetized pervasively, by
a global process, or locally, by small sources, and it is likewise
unknown when magnetization occurred. I will discuss one particular
scenario, the generation and amplification of magnetic fields in disks,
and its implications for accretion and star formation at early times.
