All the things you didn't know you needed to know...

Garbage Collection and Recycling in the Building

Each office has a small blue box for recycling of paper. These should be emptied into the larger container found in hallway of this floor. The small black containers attached to the blue boxes are for other garbage which is emptied every other week by the caretakers. WE WOULD ASK THAT YOU PUT ALL FOOD WASTE IN THE LARGE GARBAGE BIN IN THE COFFEE ROOM AS IT IS EMPTIED EVERY DAY. There are recycling bins for bottles and cans in the coffee room. There are also bins on every floor of the building and in the main lobby area.

Reading Material in the Lounge

We try to provide the New York Times in the CITA coffee room each day. The Globe and Mail is kept in the library on the 13th floor, and the Toronto Star is usually available in the Astronomy Department lounge on the 14th floor.

Non-Smoking By-Law enforced in McLennan Labs

CITA is located in a non-smoking building. Anyone smoking in the building will be fined.
