CITA is very nearby. When exiting Massey go south to Hoskin Avenue then west (right) to St. George street. Go south (left) on St George. McLennan Labs (60 St. George) will be on your right.
Rooms in Massey College are grouped in blocks of three with a common bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided; rooms are cleaned and beds made once a week starting about 7:00 a.m. A bell rings throughout the college at this time. The rooms are not air-conditioned and can be quite warm in the summer. Soap is not provided.
- Special arrangements have to be made if the visitor is arriving after the Porter's Lodge closes for the evening or on holidays; (Porter's hours are 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays)
- Changes to dates should not be made at the last minute unless absolutely necessary, as our use of the rooms in Massey College depends on making sure that arrangements are not changed constantly.
There is also a bar [Monday-Friday, 5-11 p.m.], open at dinner time on nights when dinner is served; a small kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and some utensils, as well as a coin-operated washer and dryer, ironing board and iron, all located in the west basement; and a telephone (local calls only) in the cloakroom outside the washrooms on the main floor opposite the Common Room.
Our long-term visitors have warned us that occupants of Massey may want to bring things like a radio, alarm clock, extension cord, portable coffee/tea maker, utensils and mug, can opener and corkscrew, detergent and a soap dish and soap. Smoking is not allowed except in the Quadrangle.
During the academic year (September to April) meal times and prices are:
Breakfast ($7.45): 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Monday-Friday); 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. (Saturday)
Lunch ($11.30): 12:15 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Monday-Saturday)
Dinner ($21.47): 6:30 p.m. sharp (Monday-Friday); 5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Saturday).
During the summer months (May to July) the schedule is:
